Melasma is a common acquired skin disorder that results in the appearance of blotchy pigmented patchs on the face. Melasma can develop in both males and females, however, is more common in females ages between 20 - 40 years of age. What Is Melasma?

Melasma is a condition of the skin resulting in brownish pigmentation of the face. Melasma can be broken down into epidermal, dermal and mixed depending on the depth of pigment causing the brown patches on the skin.
